Minha historia na Colombia

El Colegio Los Nogales tiene las puertas abiertas para estudiantes que llegan a vivir a nuestro país de otros lugares del mundo. Uno de ellos es Nicolas Simões, es estudiante de 9°, que lleva 4 años en el Colegio y viene desde Río de Janeiro, Brasil.

Exploring Diversity, Discrimination, Conflict, And Action In Global Perspectives

This semester the English and Social Studies Departments collaborated to offer Global Perspectives, an interdisciplinary elective course for tenth and eleventh graders. We offered three sections of the course taught by an English teacher and a Social Studies teacher. We had 29 students working on topics about identity, diversity, discrimination, conflict, and actions to understand social change and social order with a focus on socio-cultural issues in Colombia and in the world.

Appris à poser des questions

Dans le cours de Français III, nos étudiants ont appris à poser des questions : à l’oral (en situation informelle) et à l’écrit (en situation formelle). Pour mettre en place leurs connaissances, nos élèves ont créé une enquête où ils posaient des questions à un membre francophone de notre communauté Nogalista, sur un thème particulier.

Digital Detox Day

On Tuesday the 9th of November the school community was challenged to "Detox" from screen time for a 12 hour period. A large number of students and teachers voluntarily took part in logging their 'screen time' early in the morning and then again in the evening.

3rd grade field trip to the Centro de Biosistemas

Gardening project in Zasqua

Third grade and Zasqua are happy to have regular classes once again! Last week we started our gardening project in Zasqua. Thus far, we have cleaned the soil and made our parcels, as you will see in the pictures. However, we will live the entire cycle of gardening by planting, watering the plants, measuring their growth and potentially harvesting and making a salad!
